Senior operations officer in ACTED

ACTED is a French NGO founded in 1993 that supports vulnerable populations affected by humanitarian crises around the world. ACTED provides ongoing support to vulnerable communities by ensuring the sustainability of post-crisis interventions and preparedness for the long-term challenges facing populations in order to break the cycle of poverty, promote development and reduce vulnerability to disasters. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. FLATS Management

1.1. Finance Management

1.2. Logistics & IT Management

a) Including border crossing in coordination with Poland office

1.3. Administration and HR Management

1.4. Transparency/Compliance Management

1.5. Security Management

2. Management and Internal Coordination

2.1. Staff Management

a) Ensure that all staff in the area understand and are able to perform their roles and responsibilities

b) Promote team building, productivity and staff welfare, manage interpersonal conflicts among staff

2.2. Internal Coordination

a) Facilitate interdepartmental communication and information sharing for a positive working environment

b) Ensure implementation of ACTED coordination mechanism at area level

3. Positioning

3.1. Context analysis:

Ensure ACTED has an up-to-date understanding of the area's situation, trends, needs and gaps

3.2. Strategy Implementation: Identifying strategic opportunities for expanding ACTED's work in the area.

3.3. Networking, positioning and general representation:

Participate in donor meetings, engage with NGOs, UN agencies, etc. Build regular working relationships with authorities and obtain required authorizations and buy-in for ACTED/REACH activities.

3.4. Proposal development: Lead assessment (s) at area level, contribute to budget design.

Experiences

• University level education,
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience,
• Good understanding of the humanitarian sector.,
• Previous experience with international organizations is an asset.

Skills:

• Excellent computer skills including pack office,< /li>
• Teamwork and working in a multicultural environment,
• Excellent English writing and speaking skills,
• Fluency in Ukrainian,

Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility.
