Currently, the company is looking for a part-time Senior Network Administrator to join their team.
The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage the network infrastructure to ensure peak performance, reliability, and security. This role demands expertise in networking technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices
- Monitor network performance and resolve issues related to connectivity, latency, and bandwidth
- Implement and maintain network security measures to guard against unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats
- Configure and manage network services such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, and VLANs
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and procedures
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in network administration and security
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network administrators and support staff.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in network administration, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level networks
- B1 level of English proficiency
- Expertise in networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and SNMP
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Expertise in scripting and automation using PowerShell
- Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive work culture.
Certifications:
- Preferred certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent.
