What you need to have to succeed in this role

  • Experienced finance professional with a proven track record of overseeing Financial accounting obligations within a large-scale financial services entity.
  • IFRS, Finrep reporting, regulatory reporting expertise and knowledge – to help drive explain and comment.
  • Qualified accountants or equivalent academic background with minimum 8-10 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of ECB/SRB reporting requirements will be an added advantage.
  • Confident to work effectively with stakeholders across the bank, driving and influencing outcomes to deliver activities on time and to progressively improve the efficiency of processes over the longer term.
  • Understanding the regulatory environment, guidelines and new developments to assess impact on HSBC and the processes and implementing changes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, combined with tact and diplomacy for interaction with regulator.
  • A professional accounting qualification or management degree in Finance with relevant experience.

LDR, CIR & CFR to RRP team to manage the final submission to ECB, PRA and other regulators and recognition of ownership and responsibility for the quality of the reported data. , Work closely with various stakeholders likeProduct control, ALCM team and Regulatory Policy to understand, plan and deliver change initiatives including new reporting requirements. , Provide subject matter expertise, individually and through the team, to stakeholders across business, Risk and Finance, including in the context of strategic business transformation., Support the testing of the Recovery and Restructuring Strategy and Valuation processes in response to various stress tests performed. , Support management in the continuous enhancement, maintenance and testing of the management action & restructuring processes. , Proactive and collaborative stakeholder engagement with peers and senior management across Functions, Global Business Lines and Legal Entities to ensure the management actions standards and controls are adhered to and the completeness, accuracy and credibility of all management actions. , Ensure outputs delivered are of a high quality, reflecting accepted regulatory policy and standards with transparent and robust control procedures that withstand internal and external scrutiny. , Develop strong working relationships with RRP Reporting BAU leads to provide consistent and coherent regulatory submissions; strengthening "join up" culture within Finance Operations.]
