Senior Linux Engineer (SRE) @ Akamai in Akamai

Our team designs, develops, and manages applications and infrastructure that support Akamai's Compute products and services. As a Senior Linux Engineer, you will specialize in creating solutions that help improve automation and efficiencies across all internal teams. You will be expected to drive automation, operational excellence, and support our customer facing applications and infrastructure. This will require creative thinking combined with deep domain expertise in the areas of Linux systems administration, configuration management, performance tuning, and hardware engineering. Must have: Have relevant academic or industrial experience and Bachelor diploma in Computer Science or related engineering field Possess expert level experience in a SysAdmin (Linux/Unix Administration), DevOps or Software engineering role, working with large scale distributed systems Possess at least one programming language (Python/Golang) and configuration management with Terraform/SaltStack/Ansible Have experience with architecting software and infrastructure at scale Be able to work in alignment with strategic business initiatives and coordinate the work of other engineers Possess informed opinions on technology and software design to bring to the table Our team designs, develops, and manages applications and infrastructure that support Akamai's Compute products and services.
