We are passionate about designing and developing cloud-based applications and scalable, performant micro-services that very often integrate with APIs.The RoleAs a Senior Java/Kotlin Backend Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team and work on one of the back-end teams, responsible for the API integrationsResponsibilities:— Engage in the creative process of designing and launching novel features for our products utilizing Java and Kotlin.— Deliver robust and efficient code, contributing to the platform used by millions.— Create API Integrations related to customer account needs.— Refactor existing Java codebase to Kotlin, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code— Efficiently use development toolset, follow code standards and team-agreed rules— Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.Requirements:Proficiency in Java, with experience in Kotlin development preferred.Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.Experience with Kafka or similar message queuing systems is a plus.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.What do we offer?:We love what we do and working at Jagaad is a chance to be a part of something big!
