Senior Java Full-stack Developer in S-PRO

One of our client, Research University is looking for mature full-stack Java developers to develop their well-known open-source data platform The complete solution for managing your research data used by researchers to manage, analyze, and do their scientific experiments.

They also would like to meet with future employees in person each quarter in Zurich for team-building and offline sessions.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in developing Java applications, with expert knowledge of current Java standards.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in JavaScript, with strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational database systems, solid SQL skills.
• 2 years of experience in Python development.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.

Will be a plus:

• Experience with developing data management software.
• Master's or PhD degree.
• Being part of the RSE community (Research Software Engineers).

• Strong Plus: Knowledge of ontology concepts and experience with ontology construction, modeling, and management. Experience with systems like WebProtege is also appreciated.

   

Responsibilities:

• Develop internal systems, including the system related to ontology management
• Collaborate with research teams to understand their data management needs and translate these into functional software solutions
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration processes.
