About the project

For our client - a world leader in maritime transport - we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer.

This person will join the international team responsible for the development of a logistics system for fleet planning, used to set routes and dates for container ships.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing applications. We are looking for a person with excellent programming skills,

Team : international, approx. 9-10 people in total.

Work model: hybrid from the office in Gdańsk (frequency to be determined, but you have to take into account travel to the office)

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in a similar position
• Very good programming skills in Java (including knowledge of JSF, JPA, EJB, CDI, JAX-RS) . 
• Willingness to work on web application development in JEE.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, UNIX, Maven and Git. 
• Experience in collecting and describing in detail requirements and software modeling and design tools (e.g. UML). 
• Understanding of software development processes, flexibility and a high level of orientationper client. 
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, and very good communication skills.
• Experience with UI: knowledge of JSF tools, Primefaces or at least willingness to develop in this area

Welcome:

• Higher education in IT or similar field. 
• Experience in agile software development methods (e.g. Scrum). 
• Experience with AWS cloud-based services (OpenSearch, EC2, Neptune, ECS).
• Experience or knowledge of the international logistics industry. 
• Knowledge of Polish.
