Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (JS + Node.js), (SK-1258) in Nortal

Nortal is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for long term and full-time employment!

About project:

TUI Group is the world’s number one integrated tourism business. Product & Engagement is a global team within TUI technology responsible for B2B Platforms within the Trips Programme. We are a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps and Agile Delivery providing services across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a state of the art web applications
• Follow and improve code quality standards
• Perform technical assessment of mockups/wireframes and architectural designs/specifications to ensure the possibility of their implementation within a reasonable time
• Create and review software feature design documents and provide the solution
• Contribute ideas through your knowledge of evolving front-end technologies
• Be proactive in communication with team members and clients
• Use industry best practices of development processes & tools, adopt, and improve them
• Mentorship of junior colleagues
• Problem solving, Solution Presentation, Meeting and Visual Facilitation

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in JavaScript language (both ECMAScript and TypeScript) as well as its eco-system and tooling
• Experience with Node.js
• Familiarity with the Web Platform and its APIs, especially Custom Elements.·
• Familiarity with the concept of SSG
• Experience with consuming resource-oriented APIs (REST, GraphQL)
• Good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills.
• Demonstrating true software craftsmanship mindset
• Ability to design, build, test, and deploy applications.
• Expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, tools and services on AWS
• Good understanding of front-end delivery and performance aspects (infrastructure, HTTP protocol, etc.), analysis and optimisation.
• Profound knowledge of HTML, CSS/SCSS.
• Experience with at least two recent JavaScript frameworks
