This team of 6 engineers primarily focuses on Java development within a legacy tool that is critical in the operations, utilized globally via Microsoft Access. The client recently embarked on a significant project involving data migration from Access databases to SQL databases. Additionally, the client is enhancing the database views, managing batch jobs and ETL processes, and refining data sources to ensure alignment and integrity. Requirements: Must-have skills: 5-7 years of experience in Java development (In-depth knowledge and expertise in Java programming, including advanced concepts and best practices) Proficiency in any Java-based front-end libraries and frameworks: Experience with at at least one Java-based front-end framework such as Vaadin, JSF, or Tapestry. Willingness to work extensively on UI design using Java, particularly with Vaadin. Experience with RESTful services/APIs and integrating external services to fetch and display data from diverse sources .Capable of effectively communicating with stakeholders to understand, capture, and document business requirements.Preferred Skills:Highly desirable to have hands-on experience with the Vaadin framework for front-end development.Understanding of UI/UX design principles and tools, with the ability to contribute to the design process. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSSKnowledge and experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries for database operations.
