The company develops their software inhouse and headquartered in MediaPark Cologne with 6 hub-locations throughout Germany.

Now we are looking for an experienced Senior Elixir Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining robust systems using Elixir. You should have deep experience with Elixir and its ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Ensure efficient performance and reliability of software solutions.
• Lead architectural discussions and provide technical guidance for system design and development.
• Integrate with external APIs and services.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in production environments.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather and refine project requirements.
• Implement robust testing strategies to maintain code quality and reliability.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles and the Erlang VM.
• Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Understanding of real-time features such as WebSockets, PubSub, and LiveView.
• Experience working with distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
