Senior DevOps Engineer with Python in GlobalLogic

Requirements:

Mandatory:

• At least 6+ years of proven experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Experience with Ansible for automation
• Familiarity with CI tools, specifically Zuul CI
• Strong knowledge of version control systems: Git, Gerrit, GitHub
• Understanding of Docker and containerization
• Experience with Artifactory or similar artifact management tools
• Very good Linux system knowledge
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

   

Nice to have:

• Agile Scrum and/or Kanban SW experience
• Experience with Yocto, Bitbake, Bazel
• Automotive software security understanding
• Experience in leading a technical software team
• Knowledge of C++ and CMake

Job Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain Python scripts for various automation tasks
• Automate deployment and configuration tasks with Ansible
• Develop and maintain CI pipelines using Zuul CI
• Manage code repositories and workflows using Git, Gerrit, and GitHub
• Integrate Docker for containerized environments
• Utilize Artifactory for artifact management and repository hosting
• Port existing system to new automotive ECUs, maintain and enhance it
• Develop a solution for LXC/docker container updates for a Linux/Yocto operating system
• Create of a SDK ("Software Development Kit") for container application developers

Department/Project Description:

We are looking for talented engineers to join our team in the development of forward-looking solutions for highly interconnected automotive software features.

In this role you will focus on the design and development of middleware components for a Linux-based operating system in connected cars. Together with the DevOps team you will develop software that pulls all strings together, communicates with cloud services, and implements innovative customer functions inside the car. We work in areas of remote software update, telematics & connectivity, context-aware systems, and application platforms.
