Job Summary Entrusted with overseeing the entire release and deployment procedures within our Salesforce ecosystem, the Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with the Salesforce Technical Architect, Tech Leads, and the Release Manager. The Release Manager, currently responsible for almost all deployment-related activities toUAT and Production, will collaborate closely with the Senior DevOps Engineer. This senior role fills agap inour team structure, providing the expertise and seniority required tonavigate acomplex landscape, manage concurrent projects, and facilitate the recent implementation ofCopado. Strategic planning, coordination, and execution ofreleases, aswell asproviding support tothe development team inalignment with project objectives, are core responsibilities ofthis position. The ideal candidate will possess arobust background inSalesforce, release management, and athorough understanding ofDevOps practices todrive efficiency and quality inour delivery process. Key Responsibilities Lead Deployment Execution and Support: Execute deployments inintegration environments and oversee back promotions/retrofits into project sandboxes. Provide support todevelopers throughout the deployment process, ensuring adherence todefined processes and best practices. Environment and Branch Strategy: Supervise the setup and upkeep ofdevelopment, testing, and production environments. Define and implement branching strategies for long-term projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and operational efficiency incoordination with the Technical Architect. Stakeholder Communication and Coordination: Act asthe primary point ofcontact for all matters related torelease and deployment management. Ensure clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including project teams, management, and external partners. Process Improvement and DevOps Initiatives: Spearhead continuous improvement inthe release and deployment process byintroducing new pipelines and automation tools. Collaborate closely with the technical team toidentify and implement DevOps practices that foster collaboration and efficiency. Release Management and Planning: Evaluate the project landscape toestablish the most effective release cadence. Assist project managers and deployment managers inscheduling releases based onbuild duration and UAT period requirements. Plan and coordinate cutover activities for projects, ensuring seamless integration with ongoing maintenance and other projects. Required Skills and Experience Copado Expertise: Hands-on experience with deploying, managing, and troubleshootingwithin the Copado environment. Familiarity with Copado’s features and best practices for Salesforce deployment and CI/CDprocesses. Certification ismandatory. Release and Deployment Management: Over 5years ofexperience inrelease and deployment management, with atleast 3years within aSalesforce environment. DevOps Practices: Strong understanding ofDevOps practices, including CI/CD, branching strategies, and automation tools. Communication and Leadership: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, demonstrated ability tocollaborate across technical and non-technical teams effectively. Project Management: Excellent project management skills, capable ofcoordinating multiple projects and teams concurrently. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Salesforce Knowledge: Good understanding ofSalesforce architecture, environment management, and deployment methodologies. Language Proficiency: Fluent inEnglish. Salesforce Development Experience: Experience asaSalesforce developer isasignificant plus, particularly inhandling merge conflicts.
