The platform helps users’ customers independently find the answers they need while empowering support agents to deliver fast, relevant, and efficient support. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team of skilled specialists in maintaining and enhancing our software infrastructure. You'll work closely with software engineers and other DevOps professionals to deploy, automate, and oversee the software infrastructure for the next phase of knowledge platform.Requirements4+ years of practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker (main requirement).5+ years of a strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.5+ years experience in AWS administration in a production environment (deep understanding of AWS components and cloud applications architecture).3+ years of practical experience with IAAC (Terraform).Experience with continuous integration systems (Jenkins, GitHub actions).Understanding of the OOP principles for the development and maintenance of the Jenkins pipelines (Python, Groovy).Monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK-stack, PagerDuty)Cultural fit Ownership, independence, and a mindset focused on execution and delivery.Self-motivated learning.Good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Will Be a PlusOrganized and well-acquainted with cloud support methodologies.Security minded.Understanding disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) concepts.Experience with Hashicorp Consul.Knowledge of IT operations best practices for production environment support. ResponsibilitiesBuild the next phase of knowledge infrastructure.Implement best practices for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in AWS cloud (EKS), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Monitor Kubernetes clusters for performance, scalability, and security using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.Collaborate with development teams to define and implement Terraform templates for Kubernetes resources, promoting automation and repeatability.Mentor junior DevOps engineers and share best practices.Provide guidance and support to development teams on Kubernetes best practices, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing application deployments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce security policies and compliance requirements for Kubernetes clusters.Participate in the escalation on-call layer on a weekly basis.
