Senior DevOps Engineer (Big Data) in SoftServe

Together with the client, we build next-generation construction data platform. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll partner with other engineers and product managers across Product & Technology to develop data platform capabilities that enable the storage and management of data for use in transactional and analytical applications.IF YOU AREHaving 2+ years of experience building and operating cloud-based, highly available, distributed, and scalable databases with large amounts of dataPossessing 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA)/, or Database Reliability Engineer (DRE) in at least one of the database technologies cited aboveProficient in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.)Strong in operating RDBMS databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and streaming technologies (Kafka/Databricks)Experienced in provisioning and operating NoSQL databases at scale like Elasticsearch, Elastic Cache, DynamoDB, Neo4j, Mongo, CassandraAccustomed to managing infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormationConfident in Python scriptingFamiliar with monitoring and alerting systemsCapable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client sideHaving an AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certificate (nice-to-have)Familiar with Spark (preferred knowledge)AND YOU WANT TOSupport data platform infrastructure for our engineering teams via modifications for the IAC code baseHandle troubleshooting issues and propose improvements related to data ingestion, processing, and streaming activitiesParticipate in on-call rotations for incident response and resolutionCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidanceFormalize improvements to the platform with clean and clear documentationTOGETHER WE WILLGrow as a team of professionals in innovative technologiesDiscover new opportunities for enhancement of the construction softwareGain certifications from leading providers (Google, AWS & others)Care about your initiatives – we are open to them, just come and share your ideas SoftServe is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
