Senior Data Scientist in AYA Software

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with expertise in airline travel ticketing systems to join us.About the customer:The customer is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the travel industry. We specialize in leveraging data to optimize airline ticketing systems, enhance customer experiences, and drive business growth for our clients.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, extensive experience in the travel industry, and a proven track record of successfully navigating complex data landscapes.Responsibilities:- Lead data science projects related to airline ticketing systems, including analyzing ticket prices, optimizing airline routes, and improving overall system efficiency.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project objectives, and develop data-driven solutions.- Utilize expertise in travel industry data sources, including Travelport, Saber, and Braze, to extract, transform, and analyze relevant data.- Design and implement data lake architectures using Apache Iceberg to efficiently store and manage large volumes of data.- Leverage AWS cloud services and Sagemaker to develop machine learning models and deploy scalable solutions.- Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders through clear visualizations and presentations.- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in data science and analytics.Requirements:- Must know the best ways to work with airline ticketing systems and how they share data.- Experience on projects in the travel industry- Needs to know how travel industry shares data (ticket prices, airline routes, etc.): Travelport data, clickstream form Braze, Saber integration Expertise in data lake architecture.- Apache Iceberg Cloud: AWS- ML Tool: Sagemaker- English: This is team augmentation so great English skills are a must- Flexibility to participate in meetings after 1 PM EST occasionally, with availability for overlap until 1 PM EST for regular team interactions.
