Project Overview

We are building an innovative data analytics platform tailored for the dental industry, aggregating data from various digital systems integral to running a successful dental practice. These systems include Dental Practice Management Systems (PMS), Financial Systems, HR Systems, and more. Our objective is to integrate these datasets to enable comprehensive analytics of dental practice performance and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement data solutions, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes using modern data engineering

    tools.

  • Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices to ensure data

    integrity and regulatory compliance.

  • Optimize data processing and storage infrastructure for performance, scalability, and

    cost-effectiveness.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and services to enhance our data

    capabilities and drive innovation.

  • Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines for

    the data engineering team.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in data

    engineering and analytics.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Deep expertise in data services and technologies, including data ingestion, processing,

    and storage solutions.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Pandas, Apache Airflow and/or other programming

    languages used in data engineering.

  • Experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques for

    relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

    Additional Qualifications (Preferred, but Not Required)

  • Certifications in relevant data engineering technologies and platforms.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the data engineering community.
