Senior Data Engineer in Galaktica

We are the Ukrainian product IT company Galaktica, which creates and promotes its own online projects in the most solvent markets of the world: the USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, EU. Our company, like the main product, has been around for 4+ years. This product is monetized and profitable, allowing us to grow and develop employees, scale, and invest in new internal startups.

We already have a large user base, but we continue to be active. to scale Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer who will help us build a Data Warehouse and with whom we will grow even faster. Both on the main product and our new startups!

What skills and criteria are important to us now:

- Have a commercial 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer;

- You have a strong background in Data Warehouse and cloud solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, etc.);

- You have experience design, development, deployment and support of paylines. You understand how to optimize processes and improve things that work slowly;

- You work with MySQL/PostgreSQL relational databases;

- You know different approaches and types of ETL;

p>- Have at least one programming language (Python, Scala).

It will also be a big plus if you have experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Metabase, Looker.

What will be included in your duties:

- Build the Data Warehouse architecture. You will set up the scheme, decide on the technologies and start the implementation;

- In close communication with the head of the analytics department, you will analyze the available data that is in SQL;

- You will think over, analyze and start the migration from MySQL in the cloud;

- You will deal with documentation from the Data Warehouse;

- You will work with SQL on reports.
