About the role: Weare looking for anexperienced and dynamic Data Engineer with acurious and creative mindset tojoin our Data Services team. The ideal candidate will have astrong background in Python, SQL, and Rest APIdevelopment . This isanopportunity tojoin ateam ofamazing engineers, data scientists, product managers, and designers who are obsessed with building the most advanced streaming advertising platform inthe market. Asa Data Engineer, you will build services and data processing systems tosupport the platform. You will work onateam that empowers the other teams touse the huge amount ofdata efficiently. Using alarge variety oftechnologies and tools, you will solve complicated technical problems and build solutions tomake the services robust and flexible and the data easily accessible throughout the company. This position islocated inLviv, Ukraine. The core team islocated inLviv and primarily works remotely, with occasional team meetings inthe office. Requirements: —7+years ofwork experience asaData Engineer. —Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, orequivalent practical experience. —Proficiency inPython and using itasthe primary development language inrecent years. —Proficiency inSQL and relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc). —Ability todesign complex data models (normalized and multidimensional). —Experience building REST services (Flask, Django, aio- etc). —Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging problems inlarge server-side code bases. —Good knowledge ofengineering best practices and testing (unit test, integration test). —The desire totake ahigh level ofownership ofthe things you workon. —Ability tolearn new things quickly, maintain ahigh bar for quality, and bepragmatic. —Must beable tocommunicate with U.S. based teams. —Experience with AWS isaplus. —Ability towork 11am— 8pm EEST. Responsibilities: —Build products that leverage the data and solve problems that tackle the complexity ofstreaming video advertising. —Develop containerized applications, largely inPython, that are deployed tothe Cloud. —Work within anAgile team that releases cutting-edge new features regularly. —Learn new technologies, and make anoutsized impact onthe industry-leading tech platform. —Take ahigh degree ofownershipand freedom toexperiment with new technologies toimprove the software. —Develop maintainable code and fault-tolerant solutions. —Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and stakeholders across the company todeliver onproduct roadmap. —Join ateam ofpassionate engineers insearch ofelegant solutions tohard problems.
