Purpose Of The JobSenior Data engineer for Pharma project management programMain Tasks And ResponsibilitiesThe candidate needs to have experience dealing with strategic aspects of data (data architecture) as well as be hands on (data analyst)Data ArchitectDevelop and depict (Preferably in ADOIT or any equivalent tool like draw.io, Miro etc.,) a clear end to end data flow(s) diagrams and system data landscape diagrams to ensure the specifications strategically fit in the big picture view.Guide, support, and review the work of all data analysts in the team.Review the logical and physical data model developed by Data modeler.Ensure that relevant stakeholders are involved and aligned in induction of new data sources, building data pipelines and/or major upgrades to existing ones.Present and align on new solution designs in architecture board.Keep inventory of data assets and access.Keep abreast with internal IT systems and documentation requirements, standards (including quality management and IT security), regulatory environments / requirements (if applicable), DDIT Service Portfolio and with industry best practices in leveraging technologies for the business and taking advantage of reusable products, solutions, and services wherever applicable. Additional specification required for testing.Help drive evaluation of new tools, performing PoC’s and fulfilling complex data needs.Data AnalystCollaborate with business analysts to transform business requirements into technical specifications, capturing data need, data source, data transformations, data compliance and data access.Highlight/identify gaps in data sources and drive requirements review with stakeholders.Analyse data and propose solutions to meet the technical specifications.Provide Solution design and technical specifications, and delegate responsibilities to data modelers, developers, and testers for development of the product/solution.Accountable for the overall delivery of product/solution and related deliverables.Ensure implemented solutions are according to specifications and fit for purpose.Align on priority and release with project manager and product owner.Ensure consistency and traceability between business requirements, data requirements, solution design, data model, data catalog, test cases, test execution and test results.Work with operations team to resolve any data related issues.
