Do you understand that a modern toy is often a gadget, and the customer of the "Toys" category is not always a child, but often a paying adult (Kidult)? We are looking for a Category Manager to turn the Toys division into a powerful revenue driver. We need your expertise to create an assortment that creates a "Wow effect".
Your Role: Architect of Emotion and Margin You will own your category. Your task is to build a matrix so that people want to buy from us both a gift for a child and an exclusive set for the collection of an IT company director.
Your tools of influence (Duties):
- Strategy of assortment: Formation of the product matrix. You decide what we sell tomorrow.
- Purchasing management: Searching for suppliers, negotiating the best terms. Your goal is maximum margin and exclusives.
- Analytics (Hard Skills): ABC/XYZ analysis, turnover control, working with illiquids. You manage numbers, not intuition.
- Pricing: Market and competitor monitoring. You know what price the customer is willing to pay for emotion.
- Trendwatching: You know what Marvel movie is coming out next month and what figures everyone will be looking for. You see trends in TikTok before they become mainstream.
- Cross-functional interaction: Working with marketing (promotions) and merchandising (how it looks on the shelf).
