Senior C++ Developer (with Video experience) in Luxoft

Responsibilities:

• Code Development: Write and maintain high-quality C++ code following the standards and processes of the Chromium project.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize code for performance and memory footprint, leveraging hardware platform advantages.
• Testing: Develop and execute unit tests to ensure the correct functionality of the software against the requirements.
• Static Analysis: Utilize static analysis tools, interpret the results, and make necessary code adjustments.
• Code Review: Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Documentation: Thoroughly document code to ensure clarity and maintainability.

Mandatory Skills:

• C++ Programming: At least 5 years of experience in C++ programming with excellent coding skills.
• Software Design: Strong skills in software design, problem-solving, and debugging.
• Design Patterns: Good understanding of software design patterns and coding best practices.
• Code Review: Proven experience in participating and conducting code reviews.
• Graphics Programming: Proficient in graphics programming.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Chromium Applications: Experience with Chromium-based applications.
• Video Compression: Knowledge of video compression standards such as VP9, AV1, HEVC, and VVC.
• Video and Image Coding: Understanding of video and image coding principles, algorithms, and techniques.
• GPU/CPU Acceleration: Experience with GPU/CPU accelerations and parallel computing technologies (Compute shaders, OpenCL, CUDA).
• Media Technologies: Expertise in media technologies including HDR/SDR, video streaming, and DirectShow.
