Senior Business Analyst in Astral Health & Beauty

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYSTJOB DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Business Analyst at Astral Health & Beauty plays a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes for our beauty brands company. This individual will work closely with various departments to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights that drive business performance and growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and a passion for the beauty industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Analysis:Analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, to provide insights into each brand’s performance as well as overall company performance.Provide support for portfolio analysis as well as models of current and future product rationalization.Conduct variance analysis and trend analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and areas for improvement.Financial Modeling:Develop and maintain financial models to forecast sales, gap closure, expenses, and profits.Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios, new product launches, pricing strategies, and other initiatives.Provide scenario analysis to assist in strategic planning.Budgeting & Forecasting:Drive the annual budgeting process, working closely with brand managers to establish comprehensive budgets aligned with strategic goals.Develop accurate forecasts based on market trends and historical data.Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual financial results and provide explanations for discrepancies.Performance Reporting:Prepare and present regular financial reports, highlighting KPIs and variances.Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities across multiple channels and streams of revenue.Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for senior management and stakeholders.Business Partnering:Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the brands, marketing, and operations to provide financial guidance, support decision-making, and optimize resource allocation.Ad Hoc Analysis:Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed to support senior management in evaluating new opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data accurately and effectively.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software/tools is preferred.
