Senior BI Analyst (with economics background) in EPAM

We are looking for a motivated BI analyst with an economics background to join our team. In this role, your focus will be on analyzing financial data, automating workflows and providing insights for informed business decisions. Your expertise will help account/delivery managers in P&L analysis and optimization of operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis of billing data, P&L division and forecasts for business insights.
• Automation of workflows and reporting using Power BI, SQL and SharePoint.
• Building and maintaining dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to track KPIs.
• Analysis of resource utilization and turnover trends with to improve performance.
• Generate meaningful insights using Excel formulas and data modeling.
• Collaborate with account teams and delivery managers to align financial results with strategic objectives.
• Work with stakeholders to gather, understand and document business reporting requirements.
• Maintain and improve the integrity of data used for financial analysis across various systems.
• Ensure compliance with financial and operational reporting standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in BI, data analysis, financial analysis or similar field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Power BI for visualization and reporting.
• Expertise in SQL for data analysis and inquiries.
• Experience with corporate finance, including billing and P&L data analysis.
• Familiarity with SharePoint for automation and data management.
• Ability to work with large data sets and ensure accurate reporting across multiple systems.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret and clearly communicate insights.
• Competence in forecasting financial performance and operational metrics.
• Understanding tools and methods for automating work processes.
• Knowledge of English at a level not lower than B1+ for effective communication and documentation.
