Carmoola isbacked bythe world’s top Fintech VCs who invested inand connected toRevolut, Klarna, Jaguar Land Rover, and many other top-class companies.JOB DESCRIPTIONWeare looking torecruit atalented engineer tojoin our loans squad and take responsibility for building out the core financial engine.Key Responsibilities:You would start with onboarding into our loans engineering team of3engineers who own the customer journey from the moment they take aloan withus upuntil ithas been completedYou’ll beconstantly intouch with our Head ofProduct, Head ofFinance, and other key stakeholders tostay ontop ofrequirements aswell asidentify opportunitiesWeexpect you totake anactive part inimproving the domain-driven design ofthe system’s backendWeexpect you tobeable toswitch tofrontend engineering when that helps your team with workload planning and velocityWeexpect you tobeeager tolearn the data platforming and warehousing area ofthe system sothat wecan continuously automate our financial operationsWeexpect you tobeproactively engaged inall phases ofthe software lifecycle, from design todelivery and maintenanceSkills &Attitude:Product mindset and proven track record ofbuilding complex products/solutions6+years ofengineering experienceYou should beexperienced with backend technologies asyour core competencyPreferably, you should have asolid background inJava, Springboot, and the AWS ecosystem, which isour core tech stackIfyou have .NET orother backend background but are eager towork with Java then noworries, wehave plenty ofpeople with non-Java backgrounds doing very well inthe company :) Asfor the frontend, weuse Typescript, Vue, and React Native for mobile and web engineering. You should have atleast some frontend experience and beable todofrontend-related work when neededYou should beproficient with SQL and structured relational data management, this isimportant tobeable towork with our data platform (Postgresql, Snowflake, DBT)Understanding ofContinuous Delivery best practicesMicroservices expertise and/or domain-driven design skills would beabig plusItwould benice ifyou had Fintech orrelated domain experienceAmbitions tobuild anamazing consumer-facing product infrastructure, weaim todeliver “wow” toour customers (4.9 Trustpilot score)WHAT WEOFFERCompetitive salary and possible equity (stock options)Webuild loads ofthings from scratch and you’ll take anactive part inthe decision-makingSenior and friendly team.
