Role Overview

We are searching for a Senior Backend Engineer, someone who's not just technically adept but also possesses strong leadership qualities. This role involves building our core platform, developing API services that interact directly with our customers, and ensuring the robustness of our infrastructure. Your contributions will be crucial in steering our technical direction, shaping our platform's architecture, and mentoring fellow engineers. You'll engage in designing solutions, leading architectural discussions, and driving the engineering roadmap forward.

What You'll Do 🌟

- Design, develop, and maintain NewHomesMate's software applications and systems

- Perform code reviews and ensure code quality standards are met

- Contribute to the development of the engineering roadmap and ecosystem

- Lead technical design and architecture discussions, share experience with other engineers

- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

- Contribute to tasks preparation

- Create and maintain BE specific technical documentation

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, data quality managers, and other engineers

- Collaborate with non-engineering teams to identify and solve problems

- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development to identify new opportunities

What We're Looking For 🚀

- Demonstrated expertise in relevant technologies and frameworks, showcasing a depth of technical knowledge

- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for devising creative solutions to complex engineering challenges

- Effective leadership skills, with a focus on enhancing team technologies along with mentoring abilities, lead by example, and drive projects to successful completion

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend engineering, using any combination of Golang, JS/TS, and Python

- Solid experience with AWS or GCP

- Practical experience with Kubernetes

- Fluent English skills, both in writing and speaking, are essential

- A thorough approach to work, with an ability to manage broader vision and detail-oriented task
