Senior Back-end Developer (Ruby + Kotlin) in Sphere Partners

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, build and maintain backend Ruby on Rails, Kotlin application.
• Execute end-to-end software development and deployment in an agile environment.
• Develop robust and secure RESTful APIs.
• Help improve, expand and maintain our acquisition, applicant and customer APIs.
• Write acceptance, integration and unit tests.
• Design and implement database schemas with a focus on data consistency, integrity, and optimization.
• Optimize and maintain database performance for high-volume applications.

Requirements:

• Experience as a backend developer with a focus on with Ruby/Ruby on Rails and RSpec or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience as a backend developer with Kotlin.
• Expertise with RESTful API conventions.
• Proficiency in REST, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), OAuth, Basic Authentication, and PCI compliance.
• Experience with database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc).
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience delivering and supporting Web based, Distributed and Multi-Tier architecture.
