Senior AWS Cloud Native Developer (MedTech Startup) in Aesthetics360

We are an early-stage, fully-funded MedTech startup seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Native Developer / Solution Architect to join our dynamic team in Ukraine. Our core team of product owners, developers, and designers has created extensive product requirements and designed over 100 screens. We are looking for a talented individual who can hit the ground running and help us architect our solution using the best AWS and third-party tools available.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop a scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud-native application on AWS, utilizing serverless architectures with services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Step Functions

- Architect and implement primary storage and compute solutions within AWS, leveraging services like EBS, EFS, EC2, and ECS/EKS

- Collaborate with the team to evaluate and select the most appropriate AWS services and third-party solutions, including headless CMS, digital forms, and workflow management systems and tools

- Implement a microservice-based architecture using Python and AWS to ensure flexibility and maintainability

- Migrate existing applications to a cloud-native platform, when applicable

- Drive the adoption of best practices for CI/CD, security, and platform services, utilizing tools like GitHub Actions, pytest, and AWS services like CloudFormation and CodeDeploy

- Provide technical guidance, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends

- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and operational procedures

Requirements:

- 5-7 years of experience in developing applications using AWS, Python and PostgreSQL

- Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Lambda, and proven track record of implementing AWS serverless architectures

- Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture concepts and best practices

- Experience with microservice architecture design and implementation

- Familiarity with serverless application development using AWS Lambda

- Knowledge of AI solutions and architecture is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment

- Experience working with offshore teams and managing distributed development efforts
