Experience Required: 3-6 years • Full time The Regional Security Officer will be responsible for managing the security aspects related to the deployment of HALO personnel and equipment in the relevant region, based in Kharkiv. Accountable to: Security Manager HALO trust Ukraine Internally: The Regional Security Officer will work closely with the Regional Operations Manager and other operational staff in the region as required. Externally: The Regional Security Officer will work with local and regional authorities, the military, the police and regional representatives of other international and national NGOs. Responsibilities Support the Security Manager in the implementation of HALO's security strategy and risk management in accordance with standard operating procedures. Continuously monitor changes in the operational environment in the relevant region, including military, political, economic and social developments, and ensure that the Security Manager is promptly informed of changes in the security situation for the safe deployment of HALO personnel and equipment. Facilitate the development of a network of regional contacts, including local authorities, military, police and other national and international non-governmental organizations for the continuous exchange of information. Provide recommendations to the Security Manager and Regional Operations Manager regarding policy improvements and corrections to security procedures as required. Ensure that all HALO personnel in the relevant region are informed of the HALO Safety SOP and Incident Management Plan, including the Relocation and Evacuation Plan (HREP) and the Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP), and make suggestions for improvement as necessary. Ensure that all HALO facilities and vehicles are equipped and operated in accordance with safety and security protocols. Conduct safety training for current and new employees. Spend at least 40% of working time in operational field potential and actual locations Provide daily and weekly security situation update reports to the Security Manager Requirements: Solid knowledge of humanitarian security processes, high analytical skills, ability to work in field conditions Higher education in areas: Risk- management, Law, Economics, Military specialties Required practical experience Must have 2+ years of experience in humanitarian security or related fields Confident user of office package, Excel minimum intermediate level Knowledge of foreign languages: B1, B2 English We offer: official employment in an international organization worthy salary; work schedule 5/2, from 08.00 to 17.00; paid vacations and a social package in accordance with the terms of labor legislation; paid business trips, UAH 670 per diem Key skills - organizational skills Ability to see the picture, visualization Process management Attention to details, analysis, finding the best solution Planning, time management Language skills English B1 (intermediate) or higher
