Proliska NGO announces a competition to fill the vacant position of "Security Specialist". comprehensive assistance and protection to the population affected by military actions in Ukraine.
Currently, our organization works in 13 regions of Ukraine and provides: social support of the most vulnerable people affected by military actions; provision of psychological assistance to victims; consulting on social issues; provision of humanitarian aid and materials for emergency repairs of housing damaged as a result of hostilities; providing assistance to institutions and establishments where IDPs have found refuge; assistance in the evacuation of the population from the combat zone and social transportation of residents of settlements along the combat line and in de-occupied territories where regular transport does not operate.
I. Requirements for the competitor:
- Higher education (in the field of logistics, monitoring and security will be an advantage)
- Previous relevant work experience in humanitarian organizations or in a related field in frontline regions will be an advantage.
- Experience in conducting assessments risks, preparation of security plans and incident reports.
- Confident user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database/mapping systems.
- Developed skills in training staff and organization of trainings.
- High communication and coordination skills, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Readiness for business trips within the borders of Ukraine, including front-line areas, for conducting assessments.
- Fluent command of the Ukrainian language.
- Availability of a valid driver's license will be an advantage
- Ability to think critically, be proactive and proactive
- Ability to inspire the team and motivate people for selfless work, achievement of individual and team results, effectively delegate tasks and manage performance, conduct monitoring and analysis of activities to improve efficiency.
II. Key functions and responsibilities:
- Security analytics
- Constant monitoring of the security situation in the assigned regions.
- Analysis of risks for personnel, beneficiaries and activities of the organization.
- Preparation of recommendations on the expediency / impracticality of activities.
Internal control of compliance with safety rules
- Control over staff compliance with safety protocols (in particular, the use of bulletproof vests, helmets and other PPE).
- Identification of violations and provision of mandatory recommendations.
Advisory function
- Providing advice to heads of offices and focal points (including field staff) when making decisions about departures.
Advice on:
- safe time to leave after shelling / arrivals;
- permissible interval between the incident and the beginning of assistance;
- level of residual risks
Coordination with power structures
- Maintaining constant working communication with:
- National Police;
- military structures;
- other responsible law enforcement agencies.
- Receiving and transmitting relevant security information.
Ensure access and permissions
- Coordinating and ensuring the necessary admissions through the current control systems. Support of admission processes: humanitarian teams; transport of the organization to the places of renditions after shelling.
