Scientific editor with layout skills in Institut problem kriobiologiyi i kriomedicini NAN Ukrayini

The Institute of Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine invites for the position of scientific editor with layout skills.

Main job duties:

• Editing and proofreading scientific articles, reviews and other materials for the journal in Ukrainian and, if necessary, in English languages;

• Control of compliance of text design with requirements for academic publications (references, lists of literature, tables, figures, etc.);

• Cooperation with authors and reviewers to improve scientific content;

• Preparation and layout of materials for printing and/or electronic publication.

Requirements for candidate:

• Higher education (philological or other related to publishing);

• Knowledge of the basic requirements for the design of scientific publications;

• Experience in the layout of multi-page publications;

• Proficiency in the Ukrainian language at a high level;

• Desirable — knowledge of the English language (for working with English-language materials);

• Skills in working with text editors and layouts (Adobe InDesign or others);

• Attention, responsibility, ability to work to deadlines.

Working conditions:

• Official employment;

• Volume of work: 1 number magazine per quarter (approximately 100 pages);

• Possibility of partial remote work;

• Salary - according to the institution's staff list.
