About
A defense technology startup developing advanced autonomous navigation systems for UAVs that work even in environments without a GPS signal. You will be part of a team that creates solutions at the intersection of algorithms, sensor integration and embedded systems.
Main tasks
Development and improvement of VIO (visual-inertial odometry) and sensor-fusion pipelines for UAV navigation
Integration of cameras, IMU and auxiliary sensors (magnetometer, barometer, GPS)
Analysis of logs, sensor data and system indicators to find root causes of failures and improve reliability
Prototyping and testing of localization, tracking and mapping algorithms
Conducting experiments, drift/error estimation, validation in laboratory conditions and in flight
Collaboration with other team members to achieve project goals
Requirements
3+ years of experience in robotics or autonomous systems with computer vision
Proficient in Python
Ability to structure complex tasks into measurable, testable components
Ability to read and understand C++ code with the ability make minor changes
Experience with OpenCV for image and video processing
Strong knowledge of linear algebra, geometry and statistics
Experience in Linux environment and with Docker containers
Experience with ROS / ROS2 and real data streams
Will a plus:
Modeling real systems using mathematics, logic or simulations
Understanding the basic concepts of sensor fusion, state estimation and VIO
Practical experience in integrating and calibrating multiple sensors (camera, IMU, barometer, GPS)
Experience with Ardupilot / PX4
10 days of paid sick leave
