Team: CoLabLocation: Bengaluru (Hybrid)Time commitment: 2 MonthsSalary range: 50,000 INR per monthCoLab is an education lab initiative by Mantra4Change that develops and disseminates solutions to address the challenges in the education ecosystem. We strongly advocate for incorporating evidence in education and improving efficiency, effectiveness, and reduced unintended negative consequences that result from programmatic interventions. We learn from the field through research, build solutions, test them, and then make them available to the larger ecosystem to solve challenges at scale. We also build the capacity of the ecosystem to follow an evidence-informed approach as we collectively work towards equity in education.We seek a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience writing research proposals and applying for research grants, preferably in education or the development sector. As a Research Associate, you will be pivotal in advancing our research and knowledge base and securing funding for our projects.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch Proposal Development:Collaborate with team members to conceptualize research projects.Conduct thorough literature reviews to identify gaps and inform research proposals.Write clear, concise, and compelling research proposals tailored to funding agencies' requirements.Coordinate the submission process, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted on time.Grant ApplicationIdentify potential funding opportunities aligned with research priorities.Prepare grant applications, including budgets, timelines, and project narratives.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of funding trends and opportunities in relevant fields.Research Project DesignDesign research programs, methodologies etc.Coordinate data collection activities.Analyze research data using appropriate statistical methods and software.Prepare reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication in academic journals.Co-create innovative research methods and strategies. Ensure adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.Work closely with project teams to develop detailed budgets for research proposals and grants.QualificationsMaster’s degree in social sciences required; education background preferred.Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in research proposal writing and grant application development.Published more than 3 research papers, demonstrating a strong academic background and research proficiency.Proven track record of securing research funding preferredExcellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear and compelling proposals.Strong project management skills, including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and working effectively under pressure.Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.Knowledge of research ethics and regulatory requirements.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Flexible work arrangements and a supportive work-life balance culture.Opportunity to contribute to meaningful research projects that have real-world impact.
