Purpose of the position: The German Red Cross (German Red Cross) as a partner organization supports the TCHU in implementing programs for vulnerable populations through capacity building, management, technical expertise and financial resources. NCC delegates assist regional TCC teams with programs, budgets and procurement. The regional program manager of the NHC will support the delegate (does not speak Ukrainian) in communication with management, teams and volunteers, and will also deal with translation, tender documentation and reporting. Subsequently, the manager will work autonomously, coordinating and implementing tasks in the region.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support the NCC delegate and colleagues from the TCC in the effective implementation of programs TCC, ensuring that all activities and support functions are aligned with the strategy of the National Committee of TCC and the requirements of the German Red Cross.
  • Act as the main contact person for TCC on strategic programming issues at the regional level (home care, active longevity clubs, PPAP, emergency response, first aid, rehabilitation, Bravo, emergency teams response and others), promoting quality, integration, capacity building and learning.
  • Represent the partnership between the TCC and the NCC at the regional level, strengthening professional relationships, facilitating collaboration and ensuring a positive and consistent perception of the partnership.
  • Provide interpretation and translation for the NCC delegate during regional meetings, discussions and programs activities.
  • Contribute to the development of program strategies, work plans and project documentation in close cooperation with key employees of the region (RO management, deputy chief accountant, logistics, HR and program teams).
  • Ensure full compliance with the Basic Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in all coordination and executive processes.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Supporting the financial delegate of the NCC in compliance with the procedures of the NCC and TCC, cooperation with the finance teams for the accuracy of the documents.
  • Translation and verification of financial documentation, coordination of timely reporting. Assisting program teams in budget planning, cost monitoring and forecasting.
  • Supporting the regional procurement coordinator and program teams in local procurement, planning, market assessment and quality control.
  • Participating in coordination meetings, monitoring the implementation of decisions; communication regarding international orders and updates for TCHU.
  • Translation of key documents(tender, program), coordination of translator work, simultaneous interpretation at meetings.
  • Understanding the progress of programs, participation in monitoring visits, providing recommendations for improving processes.
  • Facilitating integration between departments, identifying technical support needs.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on proposals, reports and other documentation to improve quality and compliance standards.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • Higher education: diploma in English or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience of working in a humanitarian organization.
  • Free command of Ukrainian and English languages.
  • Confident computer skills (MS Word, Excel, databases, e-mail, Outlook, Teams).
  • Analytical skills and training experience, as well as the ability to support the preparation of qualitative and quantitative reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.

Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) opens a vacancy for the position of German Red Cross Regional Program Manager Rivne (Leading specialist in project and program management in Rivne)

Job purpose: The German Red Cross (GRC), as a Partner National Society, supports the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) in implementing programs for vulnerable populations through capacity building, program management, technical expertise, and financial resources. GRC delegates assist URCS regional teams with program, budget, and procurement management. The GRC Program Manager will primarily support the non-Ukrainian-speaking delegate in communication with URCS leadership and local teams, handle translation, tender documentation, and reporting. Over time, this role will transition to independently managing coordination and implementation within the region.

Essential Tasks:

  • Support the GRC delegate and URCS counterparts in the effective implementation of URCS programmes, ensuring that all activities and support functions align with the requirements of the URCS National Committee Strategy and the German Red Cross.
  • Act as the primary focal point for the German Red Cross on strategic programme-related communication at the regional level (Home-Based Care, Active Ageing Clubs, MHPSS, Disaster Management, First Aid, Rehabilitation, Bravo, ERT, other), promoting quality, integration, capacity-building, and learning.
  • Represent the partnership between URCS and the German Red Cross at the regional level by fostering strong professional relationships, encouraging collaboration, and ensuring a consistent and positive image of the partnership in all interactions.
  • Provide verbal and written translation to support effective communication for the GRC delegate during regional meetings, discussions, and programme-related engagements.
  • Contribute to programme strategies, workplans, and project documentation in close coordination with key regional staff (RO leadership, Deputy Chief Accountant, Logistics, HR, and programme teams).
  • Ensure full adherence to the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in all coordination and implementation tasks.

  • Stay informed on programme progress and challenges; participate in monitoring visits.
