BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons affected by war, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Foundation has been monitoring the situation of IDP rights protection, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Today, the Fund works in almost all regional centers and communities within the respective regions.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Ensures the implementation of protection program activities at the regional level, coordinates the work of field workers, is responsible for planning, quality of implementation, reporting and interprogram interaction. Is the main contact person between the regional team, experts and program management, promotes the integration of approaches and compliance with protection standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Integrated planning of activities of the protection program at the level of Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odesa regions (protection monitoring, counseling, support, transportation, case management, care at home, C4P, awareness raising, integration measures and other protection activities at the community level).
- Conducting briefings before launching new activities, projects, etc.
- Team support during the implementation of program activities, including during rapid response and work at transit centers.
- Participation in meetings of committees on program activities.
- Establishing effective interaction between team members.
- Working with referrals and appeals of beneficiaries (receipt control, distribution among team members, communication with the initiator).
- Control of the implementation of quantitative indicators (targets).
- Quality control of the implementation of activities, participation in joint visits to communities and beneficiaries.
- Establishment of effective interaction with experts in areas of work.
- Analysis of PDM results, study of problematic points.
- Preparation and submission of regular program reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Providing information for project reports and success stories (upon request).
- Analyzing information about the needs of beneficiaries and communities, formulating proposals for improving program activities.
- Assist in identifying cases for advocacy support.
- Ensuring prompt reporting of incidents.
- Participating in official investigations, internal and external audits (as needed).
- Ensuring effective interaction with other programs and functional departments at the regional level.
- Representation of the program during donor visits, meetings with clusters and representatives of authorities at the regional level.
- Participation in meetings of IDP working groups and councils, cluster and coordination meetings, forums at the regional level (upon agreement with the program and the regional coordination department).
- Participation in program, project and regional meetings.
- Personnel planning and support of recruitment, transfer, dismissal of team members (needs assessment, participation in interviews).
- Conducting regular 1:1 meetings with team members, annual evaluations, providing feedback.
- Control of the use of working time / time of service provision, approval of MTR of team members.
- Ensuring burnout prevention, support in crisis situations, conflict resolution.
- Periodic conducting of trainings on mainstreaming protection for employees of the regional office.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Higher education in the field of social or social sciences - social work, law, sociology, social psychology, political science, public administration or other related specialties.
- At least 2 years of experience in the field of humanitarian protection, protection monitoring, coordination of activities of temporary shelters, work with vulnerable groups, work in humanitarian or social projects, of which at least 1 year in a management or coordination position in the field of protection.
- Experience of coordinating field teams.
- Experience of cooperation with international donors, participation in the development or implementation of protection projects will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in compliance with defined terms
- Understanding humanitarian principles, mainstreaming protection standards, PSEA and accountability to the affected population.
- Good communication skills, courtesy and diplomacy.
- Fluency in the Ukrainian language.
- A working level of English will be an advantage.
