BF "Right to Defense » (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a recognized leader of the human rights movement in Ukraine. The Foundation has strong positions in the field of protection of the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees and stateless persons. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Fund has been monitoring the situation of the protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal and psychosocial assistance and strengthening humanitarian response in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Today, the Fund works in almost all regional centers of Ukraine and communities within the respective regions.
The Right to Protection Charitable Fund is creating crisis response groups that will carry out their activities in the framework of individual projects high-risk locations located at a distance of 0 to 40 km. from the front line or border. In some cases, it is possible to go to the zone of the highest risk, which is from 0 to 15 km, in which there is indiscriminate shelling from artillery, which has an additional risk for the life and health of the Foundation team.
Crisis Response Team< /span> are selected specialists who are part of the Foundation team and voluntarily volunteered to travel to locations with high and highest a risk for providing assistance to the affected persons, and are fully aware of the risks to their lives and health during planned trips and the performance of their official duties.
The successful candidate for this position will be involved in a 4-day HEAT training, under during which the skills of pre-medical and tactical first aid, evacuation, mine danger, and response to risks in a dangerous environment will be taught. One of the days will be spent at the training ground, where there will be practical training of the acquired knowledge with explosions of training grenades and shots, which has a certain stressful nature.
All members of the crisis response team will be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes: a bulletproof vest, a helmet and a first aid kit , the wearing of which will be mandatory during all working hours, and it will also be recommended to carry a tactical first aid kit with you on a permanent basis. It is possible to remove PPE only in basements or shelters,that do not have windows and after the approval of the security officer.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Project"S.H.I.E.L.D.: Support, Humanitarian Intervention, and Empowerment for Local Durability in Ukraine", aimed at solving the complex needs of vulnerable groups of IDPs, returnees and people affected by the conflict in selected places of collective residence in the central regions and in hard-to-reach regions close to the front line.< /p> ABOUT' LANGUAGES AND LIABILITY Plans schedule, geography and transportation for mobile trips; Ensures the organization of mobile trips - general coordination, support for the work of teams on the trip, providing feedback; Monitors compliance with security measures for the deployment of mobile crisis response teams; Makes conclusions about the security situation in the region, and plans the departures of mobile groups according to these conclusions in close cooperation with the security specialist to reduce security risks; Participates in personnel selection (interviews); Organization and holding of working meetings with representatives of local authorities and partner organizations in order to ensure the work of mobile groups; Performs a representative role together with the regional team to highlight the work of mobile groups in the region and form a positive image of the Foundation; Organizes and supports internal communications in the team regarding work abroad; Coordinates the redirection of beneficiaries to receive assistance from other organizations; Coordinates the regional team of drivers of mobile crisis response groups and monitors their compliance with the internal rules and policies of the Fund; Makes proposals regarding the project implementation plan in terms of the work of mobile groups; Interacts with program specialists in the region to ensure effective operation of mobile groups; Control of conformity of drivers' route sheets; Participates in the preparation and conducting of monitoring visits with the participation of partners and donors; Monitoring and analyzing the work of mobile groups; Reports on mobile trips to the Crisis Response Coordinator and Regional Office Manager; Reports on trips to project managers; Informs program coordinators about the specifics of requests from beneficiaries to make operational adjustments to program andactivities, informs about violations of service provision procedures (protocols), the presence of other violations or inconsistencies in the provision of services (assistance); Participates in outings mobile crisis response teams as needed. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Higher education in the field of management, social sciences, psychology, management, law and other relevant fields; 2 years of experience preferred work in international projects of technical assistance, humanitarian sphere; Experience of managing teams in crisis situations; Experience in logistics and understanding of logistics tools will be an advantage; Stress resistance; Initiative; Negotiation skills; Willingness to work within the defined geography of work of crisis response groups; Experience of working in crisis and emergency situations will be an advantage.
