Job description: The regional coordinator will be responsible for the overall management, coordination and implementation of humanitarian and development programs of Caritas in southern Ukraine. The regional coordinator will ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects, adhering to Caritas standards and donor requirements.

Main duties:

1.           Program Management:

o Oversee the planning, implementation and monitoring of all projects in the assigned territory.

Ensure that project activities are completed on time, within budget and to standards quality.

o Develop work plans, budgets and reports in coordination with project managers and technical teams.

2.           Leadership and Team Development:

o Provide leadership and oversight to the field team, including project managers, technical consultants and support staff.

o Contribute to a positive collaborative team atmosphere , contributing to professional development and capacity building.

o Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.

3.           Coordination and representation:

o Represent Caritas in coordination meetings with local authorities, donors, UN agencies and other NGOs.

Ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders to improve project results.

o Defend the needs and rights of the affected communities at relevant forums.

4.           Monitoring and evaluation:

o Implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress and impact.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors and Caritas headquarters.< /p>

o Use data and feedback to make informed decisions and improve program performance.

5.           Security and safety:

o Monitoring the security situation on the territory and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Coordinating with the security team for training and providing support to staff on issues security.

Respond to security incidents and ensure appropriate measures are taken to protect personnel and assets.

6.           Management resources:

o Management of financial, material and technicalhuman and human resources to optimize program effectiveness.

o Ensure compliance with Caritas financial and administrative policies and procedures.

o Oversee procurement processes and asset management.

7.           Public Involvement:

o Facilitate community participation and ensure projects are responsive to local needs.

o Facilitate community feedback mechanisms to increase accountability and transparency.

o Support for initiatives to build the potential of local partners and public groups.

Qualifications and experience:

- Higher education in the field of international development, humanitarian issues, social sciences or in related fields.

- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position in an international non-governmental organization, preferably in a conflict or post-conflict situation.

- Proven experience in project management, including planning, budgeting and reporting.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Fluency in English; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage.

- Ability to work under pressure and in difficult conditions.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
