The Children's Voices Charitable Foundation is a Ukrainian Foundation that grew out of a volunteer initiative in 2015 in Eastern Ukraine.

Our mission is that no child of Ukraine should be left alone with the experience of war. We inspire and support children, create conditions for children's voices to be heard, support resilience of children and parents in war conditions. The Foundation successfully implements its mission and gains a reputation as an effective, stable and recognizable organization in the field of child support.

The main purpose of the regional coordinator:

  • To represent and coordinate activities of the "Voices of Children" Foundation in Chernihiv and Sumy;
  • To serve as a liaison between the teams of the centers and the management from the central office of the foundation, in particular, the head of psychosocial support, the head of humanitarian support, direction of social support, extracurricular activities, etc.;
  • Ensure coordination of the work of psychological teams, social support teams and extracurricular activities (if available) in regional hubs (cells) of the Fund in accordance with general goals and objectives , defined by the Fund's program as well as within the framework of certain projects;
  • Responsible for effective and timely provision of services, reporting of field teams, etc.;
  • Ensuring the study of needs at the regional level, understanding work priorities;
  • Representing the interests of the Fund in regional structures, such as: services for the protection of children's rights , the heads of the OTG, regional city councils, as well as in non-governmental organizations;
  • Coordinating work with other local partners in the region, creating a referral system, constant feedback on changes needs in the region.

Requirements:

  • Associate/Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in management, psychology, health care, social work or a related field;
  • < li style="font-weight: 400">experience working in a management position in the state or public sector in the region is an advantage;
  • experience working with development grant projects or humanitarian aid is an advantage;
  • leadership qualities and teamwork skills;
  • ability to work in difficult conditions and with various stakeholders; problem-solving and consensus-building skills;
  • ability to travel within the area when security allows;
  • proficiency in English is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring, creating, maintaining appropriate coordination mechanisms, including regional working groups and individually in cities.
  • Active promotion of the "Voices of Children" Foundation and involvement of interested parties in project activities;
  • Participation in the development, preparation and coordination of planned and special events of the "Voices of Children" Foundation in in the field of mental health;
  • Identifying key stakeholders and partners in the region and maintaining connections for effective project implementation;
  • Participation in the preparation of reports, in accordance with program tasks;
  • Preparation of information and participation in the presentation of the work of the psychological team or individual regional offices.
  • Promotion and adoption of standardized methods, tools and formats of work in cells (TEAMS, CRM system, according to the technical areas of the project);
  • Collection of information on existing best practices in mental health, child protection, safeguarding policies, communication, awareness-raising and mobilization tools that can contribute to the implementation of the project;
  • Providing a proposal for the implementation of strategies, policies and regulatory measures at the regional level with the aim of improving practices in the field of mental health;
  • Supporting the monitoring of project activities in the regions, as well as supporting their documentation in accordance with the project requirements in close coordination with the head of the department.
