Radiotelephone operator - a specialist in computing and transmission devices, computer networks and information processing - this position combines the classic duties of a signalman with the functions of a system administrator and a data transmission specialist. In modern UAV or artillery units, such a specialist is the "architect" of the information space: he ensures that the video from the UAV reaches the commander, and the coordinates - to the artillery. equipment; 

  • Knowledge of computer networks and IT:Understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, routing and switching principles (DHCP, DNS, NAT). Ability to configure network equipment (routers, amplifier antennas). Experience with Windows and Android operating systems at the level of an advanced user/administrator.
  • Radio technical skills:Understanding the principles of radio wave propagation, knowledge of frequency ranges. Ability to work with repeaters and directional antennas. Radio station programming skills (frequency firmware, group settings).
  • 3. Special computer skills:Ability to work quickly with digital maps and geodetic coordinates.Skills to work with databases or large sets of information (for analytical centers).

    • Information processing: Use of battle management systems, situational awareness, video analysis, messengers. Entering, calculating and transmitting the coordinates of targets.
    • Cyber security:Protection of workstations from viruses, setting up VPN tunnels, encryption of communication channels.
    • Technical support: Maintenance of computing equipment (laptops, tablets) and peripheral devices
    • Working with batteries:Monitoring the status of chargers stations, batteries, their proper charging and storage.
    • Observance of safety measures: Strict compliance with the rules for handling weapons and ammunition.
