Quality Control Director (QC Director)

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Director for our client, one of the largest developers and manufacturers of UAVs for the defense needs of Ukraine.

The team focuses on continuous improvement of board characteristics, use of new approaches and technologies. In-house production facilities enable rapid implementation of changes and ideas.

Required skills and experience:

• Higher technical education (engineering, robotics, technology, quality management, etc.);
• 5+ years of experience in the field of quality control in production, of which at least 2 years in a managerial position;
• Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.);
• Experience in large-scale production, experience in robotics or automotive will be an advantage;
• Knowledge of statistical quality control methods (SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, etc.);
• Understanding the principles of Lean Manufacturing and frugal production;
• Experience in the development and implementation of quality management systems (QMS);
• Knowledge of the basics of materials science and technical aspects of the materials used;
• Experience in conducting internal and external quality audits;
• Strong leadership skills, ability to effectively manage a team;
• Analytical thinking ability, attention to details, organization;
• High level of communication skills;
• Experience in managing risks related to product quality.

As a plus:

• Understanding of robotics and aerospace manufacturing processes, including design specifics and assembly of quadcopters.

Future duties:

• Organization and conduct of incoming quality control of components coming from abroad;
• Ensuring initial quality control of finished products before sending them to customers;
• Development and implementation of a quality management system that meets international standards;
• Constant monitoring and analysis of the quality of components and finished products, development of corrective actions;
• Management of the quality control department, including staff training and development;
• Interaction with international suppliers on quality issues, claims resolution;
• Conducting inspections, internal and external audits of the quality system;
• Identification and assessment of risks related to quality, development of measures to minimize them.
