Working conditions

Place of work: Remote and within Ukraine (with possible field trips depending on project requirements)

Subordination: Head of MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Training)

Contract duration: One year with the possibility of extension (2-month trial period)

Salary: 1000-1500 Euro, depending on the results of the interview

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning and coordination of field data collection activities, including a team of 30+ field researchers in Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania, Georgia.
  • Support expansion into new countries such as Hungary and Slovakia, as well as any other countries where Scruples Research can expand its operations, by recruiting new field researchers and conducting interviews with new employees on an ongoing basis.
  • Conduct quality data collection in a timely manner in person or remotely (by phone or online) according to the developed research tools in Ukrainian/Russian languages.
  • Create a data collection plan that will be provided to clients, which will help track the status of data collection by field by researchers in the field
  • Contribute to the piloting of research tools to actual data collection and provide feedback to the MERL Manager.
  • Provide feedback on the developed tools and the initial report and, if necessary, contribute to the analysis
  • Identify and/or invite research participants for data collection and ensure their timely participation if necessary.
  • Ensure registration of collected data by taking notes using voice recorder or artificial intelligence.
  • Anticipate any problems in the field and immediately report them to the MERL manager for resolution.
  • Conduct briefings, orientation and/or training for field researchers before at the start of the field study regarding tools, scope of work and expectations.
  • Ensure debriefings are conducted with field researchers during or at the end of the work to understand what went well, what tools worked or did not work, and challenges and document learning.
  • Strictly adhere to the Code of Conduct, PSEA and Child Protection Policy and Scruples Research Data Protection Protocol, always protect any data collected and communicate this approach to field researchers .
  • Coordinate work with translators and ensure timely and high-quality translation of instruments and data.
  • Conduct quality checks on all data collected by field researchers in the field, and cross-check whether activities are conducted in accordance with guidelines and expected quality standards.
  • Participate in debriefing meetings with MERL manager to support understanding of data collected and provide feedback.
  • Always respect and maintain a positive relationship with study participants, field researchers and any other Scruples colleagues and report any concerns to the MERL Manager in a timely manner.
  • Transcribe the collected data in an agreed format and submit it to the MERL Manager in a timely manner.
  • li>Provide comments on preliminary analysis when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of field researcher time sheets.
  • Ensure completion of all field researcher individual files in close coordination with operational manager.
  • Representation at client meetings or any other meetings as required.
  • Share weekly with the client and the Scruples team on the progress of data collection
