Job Summary:

We are Optime, an International Software development company with strong leadership and over 20 years of extensive experience, focusing on embedded and telecommunications systems engineering.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Manual Tester to join our software development team full-time. As the QA Manual Tester, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our systems, Linux-based components, and network functionalities. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for detail, experience with Linux administration, and a passion for delivering a seamless user experience.

Contract types available: Full-time employee.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with project managers, and developers to understand requirements and define testing strategies for Linux-based backend systems and network components.
• Design test methods and cases based on newly introduced features.
• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases to validate the functionality, reliability, backend systems and network interactions.
• Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, and testing documentation to ensure consistent and repeatable testing processes.
• Test and validate network configurations, security protocols, and data transmission in a digital communication environment.
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Report on test results, quality metrics, and issues to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, testing methodologies, Linux administration, and network testing.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Linux, SSH, and networking tools (NetStat, ifconfig, route, and iptables).
• Proven experience (7+ years) in quality assurance and software testing,
• Experience in designing test methods and cases based on newly introduced features independently.
• Experience leading and managing QA teams.
• Strong understanding of Linux administration and command-line interfaces.
• Experience with manual testing methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking.
• Attention to detail and an ability to identify issues in backend systems and network interactions.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and network configurations.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.

Desired:

• Experience in remote work environments or tech startups.
• Familiarity with network testing tools (Wireshark, Nmap, etc.) and network protocols.
