QA Engineer (Hardware) in Ajax Systems

About the project We, Ajax Systems, create security systems and smart home devices. We want every house to become safe and reliable, and alarms to be technological, stylish and easy to use. We believe in the Internet of Things and smart security, which is its basis. Ajax is a full-cycle company from idea generation and R&D to mass production and sales. We do everything: we produce physical devices (the system includes many different sensors and hubs), write firmware for them, develop the server part and release mobile applications. Automation team: The automation team develops software and hardware complexes (test stands) for testing each device in the production process , create machines and robots for automating assembly processes, as well as internal software for device firmware and production management at all stages—from assembly of boards to repacking of finished products. The order department is responsible for ensuring that production can deliver the highest quality product in the shortest possible time in a large volume. Thanks to their work, the defect rate in production is only 0.3 percent. Responsibilities: Improve the quality of our hardware and software products for firmware testing of devices in production Analyze the requirements for pre-testing of devices, the functionality of programs and test stands. Preparation of checklists, test cases, test plans It is not easy to find bugs, with the help of logs, debugging tools and external manifestations, find out the causes of these bugs. Conduct research on the operation of devices and programs, troubleshooting. It will be a plus: Knowledge of the version control system (git) low-current systems Requirements: Strong technical background (technical education) Knowledge and understanding of testing theory (who is QA, what does he do, and what techniques exist for this) Documentation management: compilation of test cases, user scenarios, checklists.
