As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web-based applications and systems. You will collaborate closely with our development, sales, and product teams to understand requirements, create test cases, execute tests, and report on findings to ensure a seamless user experience across all our platforms.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for our website, CRM, and CMS applications.
Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and report bugs and usability issues.
Work closely with developers and product managers to understand new features and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Participate in design and architecture reviews to provide input on usability, testability, and quality.
Perform automated testing and work towards continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitHub.
Utilize New Relic for monitoring and improving application performance.
Document test results and communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize issues and facilitate timely resolutions.
Make recommendations based on testing and best practices
Take initiative in identifying and addressing potential challenges, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills.
Adapt quickly to changing circumstances and new information, ensuring flexibility in dynamic environments.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role with a solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Hands-on experience with testing web applications and familiarity with technologies such as PHP, HTML, MySQL, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Jest, JUnit).
Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products like App Engine, Compute Engine, and Cloud SQL.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Docker for containerization, and New Relic for application monitoring.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
You must have the ability to work EST timezone (America/Toronto)
Professional English is required, and French is an asset.
