As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web-based applications and systems. You will collaborate closely with our development, sales, and product teams to understand requirements, create test cases, execute tests, and report on findings to ensure a seamless user experience across all our platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for our website, CRM, and CMS applications.

  • Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and report bugs and usability issues.

  • Work closely with developers and product managers to understand new features and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Participate in design and architecture reviews to provide input on usability, testability, and quality.

  • Perform automated testing and work towards continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitHub.

  • Utilize New Relic for monitoring and improving application performance.

  • Document test results and communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize issues and facilitate timely resolutions.

  • Make recommendations based on testing and best practices 

  • Take initiative in identifying and addressing potential challenges, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills.

  • Adapt quickly to changing circumstances and new information, ensuring flexibility in dynamic environments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role with a solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Hands-on experience with testing web applications and familiarity with technologies such as PHP, HTML, MySQL, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Jest, JUnit).

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products like App Engine, Compute Engine, and Cloud SQL.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Docker for containerization, and New Relic for application monitoring.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • You must have the ability to work EST timezone (America/Toronto)

  • Professional English is required, and French is an asset.
