QA Automation Engineer (with desktop testing experience)

Project description:
The project is to develop Windows and Mac versions of stats app that combines scientific graphing, comprehensive curve fitting (nonlinear regression), understandable statistics, and data organization. The app is used by all kinds of biologists, medical schools, drug companies, as well as social and physical scientists — to analyze, graph and present scientific data. It has been a stable project with the large team of programmers and QA for more than 20 years.

Requirements:
— 2+ years of experience in automation testing
— Proficiency and 1+ year of experience in manual testing
— Deep knowledge of shell scripting and Python (experience with pywinauto, atomacos libraries is required)
— Experience in CI and CD
— Knowledge of Windows OS family and any Unix-like operating system (macOS is preferred)
— Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, testing environments, bug-tracking systems
— Ability to read and write technical English

— Writing and executing automation scripts
— Evaluating result of the automation tests and defect reporting
