Python teacher in CHI IT Academy

CHI IT Academy is an educational platform, where under the guidance of experienced mentors, a person of any age and profession can master technical and non-technical IT specialties. Our goal is to contribute to the development of the Ukrainian IT industry by providing our students with high-quality and up-to-date education that will facilitate the start of further professional development. 

Now we we invite the cooperation of mentors for the course "Python Developer" to conduct lectures in our academy. 

Our ideal candidate:

• know Python core and have good experience in programming;  

• have good communication skills;  

• to be able to explain complex things in simple words;  

• have experience in managing team motivation;  

• have experience of public speaking;  

• be a cool programmer and a good teacher or a good programmer and a cool teacher. 

Technology stack: 

• understanding Python core: data structures, functions, conditional statements, loops, and I/O...;  

• understanding of Python OOP; 

• Familiarity with Web technologies, protocols, client-server communication, basics of web security; 

• Understanding HTTP and REST API principles; 

• Experience with Flask; 

• Knowledge and experience of working with SQL and ORM. 

What you will need to do:

• conduct training in a group of students. One group = training for 1-1.5 months; 

• explain, help students, answer questions in Telegram and on the educational platform of the Academy; 

• check homework and provide feedback; 

• inspire and motivate during training. 
  

Would be a plus:

• experience working with Git and best practices in projects (PRs, review, branching); 

• Testing (Unit test, coverage, basic principles of testing); 

• Cloud (AWS) (general knowledge); 

• Experience with modern ways of containerization (Docker and compose plugin). 

How classes are held with a mentor:

• twice a week in the evening online via Google Meet; 

• the duration of classes (lectures) — 1.5-2 hours. 

Working conditions:

• together with CHI's testing department;

Software will help you compile the program; 

• timely payment; 

• part time, remotely.
