Python Developer (Junior to Mid-Level)

We are currently looking for a Developer who will join our team. You will be able to work autonomously, or in-pair with other engineers, to develop new features for back-end services or packages.

Client — is a sustainable last-mile logistics company that connects retailers and e-merchants to a fleet of geolocalised couriers across several countries in Europe. The platform allows businesses of any kind of industry to deliver their customers with speed, flexibility, and efficiency. Since 2015, they’ve grown to operate in 150 cities in France, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Italy and the UK.

HQ — Paris, France

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years of experience in the relevant technology
• Proficient in Python (3.9, 3.11), SQL, and MySQL
• Experience with AWS services like S3 and Redshift, familiarity with Github Actions for CI/CD workflows
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI (preferred), or alternatively Django or Flask for web development
• Working knowledge of fastapi, pydantic, sqlalchemy, boto3, pandera, pytest for efficient development and testing
• Experience working with Git, Jira or with a similar tool
• Ability to work independently or in collaboration with other engineers
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)

Nice to have:

• Previous exposure to event streaming solutions such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with VS Code debugger or similar debugging tools
• Practical understanding of unit testing methodologies, especially using pytest for test automation and mocking

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of event-driven backend web services and packages, ensuring scalability and reliability
