Public Relations in ASB

The Public Relations Officer is responsible for communication and public relations of ASB Ukraine including on site as well as online and shall develop articles, stories. Besides, the position is responsible to work closely with the Program Team to implement ASB’s programs in Ukraine. Public Relations Officer will report directly to Head of Program and / or the Country Director. 

The role of Public Relations Officer within the humanitarian organizations is crucial for effective communication, reputation management, and conveying the organization’s mission to the public, as well as providing support for the implementation of the mission programs. 

Duration:   12 months (possibility of extension)

Location:   Lviv

Key responsibilities:

Public Relations 

• Ensure the visibility of ASB and donors during distributions and other activities
• Reviving and regularly updating ASB Ukraine’s website
• Posting project updates across social media platforms in coordination with the ASB team and the Liaison Officer 
• Creating communication materials such as brochures, newsletters, and reports
• Collaborating with staff across ASB to gather input for communication materials
• Develop visibility materials following donor and ASB policy on visibility
• Contribute for project reports
• Participate on monthly meetings and contribute 
• Contribute to new proposal development 

Key Requirements:

• Fluent language skills in Ukrainian and English
• Background in communication, public relation, project management, and/or a related field
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in communication and project management
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-cultural team
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner
• Expertise in preparing accurate reports, stories and articles for newsletters
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Organizational skills and attention to details
• Good presentation skills
• Proficiency in relevant programs
