The FHI 360 Crisis Response Team is responding to the humanitarian emergency in Ukraine with a comprehensive health and protection program aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality among the conflict-affected population. In addition, FHI 360 supports the provision of psychosocial support to vulnerable populations affected by war.
JOB OVERVIEW
Working under the overall direction of a leading health professional, The Public Health Program Specialist, based in Kharkiv, is responsible for administrative and technical responsibilities to support the implementation of FHI 360's public health initiatives in Kharkiv Oblast. The public health program specialist is responsible for providing technical and operational support to mobile medical teams, conducting trainings for medical workers, transferring medicines and equipment to medical facilities, distributing medical and hygiene kits in communities and other activities within the framework of the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS- Provide day-to-day field and administrative support to the activities of mobile medical teams in the Eastern Regions.
- Assist in the supervision and management of health care trainings, including coordination with the logistics department if necessary.
- Preparation of invitation letters, sending invitations to participants for trainings and coordination with participants in advance before the start of the training.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports on trainings and ensure the transfer of data on training indicators to the monitoring and evaluation department.
- Assist in the administrative processes of the transfer of medicines/materials and hygiene kits to health care facilities.
- Assist in coordinating and organizing the distribution of hygiene kits to households in collective centers and in newly de-occupied territories.Prepare reports on field activities.
- Make phone calls, coordinate requests for support, make appointments, and assist in organizing internal and external meetings.
- Take notes and make minutes during internal and external meetings.
- Maintain a map database of the mobile team with up-to-date information about the location of the mobile team.
- Assist in the preparation materials that will be used for project activities.
- Maintain up-to-date electronic and paper files related to activities in the field of health care.
- Carry out preparatory work for new activities , collect information and conduct basic research as requested by the Senior Health Officer.
- Assist the Health Officer and Senior Health Officer in conducting humanitarian and technical assessments in current and potential new geographic areas of operation.
- Maintain liaison between the Health Department health and other departments, including the logistics department, the finance department and the monitoring and evaluation department.
- Any other duties assigned by the manager.
