IsraAID's mission is to support people affected by humanitarian crises by partnering with local communities around the world to provide immediate relief, aid recovery and reduce the risk of future disasters.

IsraAID has been operating in Ukraine since the beginning of 2022, when the organization responded to the urgent humanitarian needs that arose as a result of the war. Since then, we have shifted our focus to implementing a long-term strategy for WaSH programs, health, mental health and psychosocial support programs. IsraAID's work in Ukraine contributes to sustainable and inclusive problem-solving with special attention to building resilience of communities to future challenges, as well as close cooperation with leaders of communities, regions and nations.


Psychosocial Support Project Manager is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring projects aimed at providing psychosocial assistance population in the south of Ukraine. The main responsibilities include the development of programs and projects, coordination of the activities of partner teams, monitoring and evaluation of effectiveness together with specialized specialists, cooperation with other organizations, preparation of reports and development of methodological materials.


DETAILED DUTIES

  • Planning and implementation of measures to improve the psychosocial well-being of target groups of planned programs and projects
  • Ensuring effective communication between project participants
  • Preparing reports on project progress
  • Establishing and maintaining partnership relations with local communities, state institutions and international by organizations
  • Ensuring effective use of financial, material and human resources for project implementation
  • Organization of trainings and educational sessions to improve the qualifications of partners
  • Conducting trainings and educational sessions as needed within the framework of current projects
  • Preparation and distribution of training materials
  • Support of constant dialogue and interaction to strengthen partnership relations
  • In cooperation with the head of the department, ensure a sufficient supply of materials for conducting various measures of psychosocial support, namely, to compile a list and budget of the necessary material and technical materials for the implementation of the planned events, to control the procurement
  • To participate in work meetings and other events related to the implementation of the project
  • < li>Accountability to the manager of the psychosocial support program and adherence to internal policies and procedures of the organization

REQUIREMENTS:

    < li>

    Higher education in psychology, social work, sociology or related disciplines.

  • Experience of working in an NGO, experience in the development and management of psychosocial support projects.

  • < p>Knowledge of psychosocial support methods and approaches.

  • Ability to manage a team and coordinate its activities.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with stressful situations and emotionally charged circumstances.

  • Experience of cooperation with educational institutions and public organizations is an advantage.

  • Fluency in the Ukrainian language.

  • Knowledge of the English language (spoken and written) will be an advantage

  • Understanding the context of the war and the topic of civilians in prison as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation
