General information
The FHI 360 Crisis Response Department is implementing a project called the "Ukraine Humanitarian Assistance Program" (UHARP) in order to improve the health and well-being of the conflict-affected population and displaced persons by providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary assistance. The project is implemented in the Eastern and Southern regions of Ukraine, and aims to provide services to the most vulnerable population groups, both by project staff and partner organizations. The project is implemented with the support of the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance.
KEY DUTIES AND TASKS
- A psychologist in the community contributes to the assessment of social welfare in Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia region. If necessary, he/she will support the PSS worker in preparation for further psychosocial interventions.
- Psychologist advises on the appropriate methodology to be used in psychosocial interventions to effectively meet population needs.
- Psychologist delivers psychosocial interventions in selected locations, including group sessions with CSD, according to a schedule established by the CSD staff member. Classes may include elements of awareness raising, psychological first aid and/or referral.
- Psychologist submits activity reports and completed monitoring tools according to FHI 360 templates and conditions.< /span>
- Distributes information about the complaints mechanism and feedback in the FHI 360 aspect, participates in the analysis of feedback received from participants in psychosocial support sessions, and advises on program improvement.
- Participates in weekly meetings with employee of PSS and other internal meetings of FHI 360.
- The Psychologist contributes to coordination efforts and joins relevant external discussions organized by the cluster and/or other entities.
- Goes through mandatory FHI 360 trainings and briefings, engages in self-education to be best prepared for field interventions.
- Performs other tasks related to the main scope of work assigned by the PSS employee.
Expected loaddays: 72 daysno
Involvement period: 26 August 2024 - 30 November 2024
Required:
- Professional certification of a psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist with at least 1-3 years of professional experience.
Experience of working with the consequences of war trauma and knowledge of the appropriate methodology to increase the level of emotional resilience of people during a protracted crisis.
- Experience in conducting group PSS sessions.
Experience of working in a group and the ability to work in pairs.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a changing environment.
- Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian.
Preferably:
- Experience in humanitarian programs.
- Fluency in English.
